Can I run TallyPrime on a Linux VPS?
TallyPrime is a Windows application. Running it on Linux means a Windows VM or a compatibility layer, neither of which is supported by Tally Solutions for production multi-user accounting. Use Windows Server.
How many users fit on a 4 vCPU / 8 GB VPS?
Typically two to four concurrent RDP users with TallyPrime open. The limit is memory per session rather than CPU. Watch actual usage for a week before adding users.
Do you supply the Tally licence?
No. You bring your own TallyPrime licence and, for shared access, the multi-user edition. The VPS provides the Windows server it runs on.
Is my accounting data safe on a shared platform?
The VPS is isolated at the hypervisor level and only your team holds the credentials. What actually protects the data is your own practice: restricted RDP access, strong passwords, current patches and a tested off-server backup. Root or administrator access means those responsibilities are yours.
